How to Change the World

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

This is such a huge topic that people have been talking about since the beginning of time. It has been a personal struggle of mine for almost a decade now. I feel like most people, if given the opportunity, would choose to change something about our current world to make it better. To make it more peaceful, caring, loving and healthier. However, this is much easier said than done.

How do we go about changing the world when there is such a huge system set in place to make sure the status quo continues? How do we go about changing the world when there have been so many revolutions that have failed miserably? It seems like, instead of making the world better, they have only made it worse.

I feel like the answer to this question is a lot simpler than we imagine. I feel that, as individuals, the only way to change the world is to first change ourselves. If we cannot change our own behaviours, attitudes, and actions then how could we ever hope to change the world?

We must take back control of our own lives. Take back control of our minds and start thinking for ourselves. Take back control of our health and what we put into our bodies.

We must stop being controlled by what the media and government tell us and start to think for ourselves. Stop focusing on what is different about everyone and focus on each other’s similarities. Start to work together and look for win/win situations.

The first step we must take is to make sure we are healthy and have a healthy relationship with ourselves. We should be able to look in the mirror and know we are in control of our own destiny. This means we decide what we will think, what we will eat, where we will live, who we will trust and love, and what we will believe in.

When we start to take ownership of our own lives we start to be free. When we free ourselves from depending on the system to feed us, to educate us and to keep us healthy, we elevate to a new level of consciousness.

When we start to live life from this new level of consciousness other people will start to notice. You start to show people that it is possible to live differently, to act differently, and be different. You show them that we do not have to continue down the path we are on. We can choose a different path at any time we want.

When we show others that we are capable of living healthy, balanced lifestyles without drugs and without fear, we give them hope. We must set the example and carve a path for others to follow. When we show them that we are able to come together and build communities based on trust, love, and cooperation we show others that it is possible for them too.

This is why I chose to write a book about how to start living a healthy lifestyle. There were definitely other topics I was more passionate about when I was thinking about what I want my first book to be about. I realized that what all these topics had in common was that they all depended on us being dependent on the system mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

As they controlled our minds, bodies, emotions and spirits, they also controlled everything else. So in order to be able to be truly free, I realized that we must take back control of these aspects of our own lives. This is how we can change the world. It can truly be a non-violent revolution. The revolution of the self. As we free ourselves from the control mechanisms places upon us since birth, we also take away the support systems of these mechanisms.

These systems cannot continue to keep us down if we do not buy into them. For example, in my book I talk about how growing your own food can be the most revolutionary thing you do. Food dependency is one of the biggest control mechanisms in place today. What would happen if all the grocery stores ran out of food tomorrow? There would be chaos. We are dependent on the system.

If we grow our own food, it gives us back freedom, independence, health and money. The less we have to spend on buying food, the more we can spend on building sustainable communities or on educating our youth how we want to. The less time we have to spend at work and the more time we can spend with our families.

It would be a domino effect that would spill over into all areas of our lives. This is only talking about one thing too. Food. What if we also stopped enrolling in their schools and educated our own children? What if we started filtering our own water supply instead of relying on them to give us clean water? What if we stopped paying attention to their media and decided what kind of information we wanted to put into our minds? What if we all meditated once a day and were active once a day too?

There are so many little changes we can make in our individual lives that can have a huge impact on society and the world. Just think about how many industries would go out of business if all women woke up tomorrow and decided they were beautiful just the way they are.

This is how we can make real change in the world. We must change the way we act, think, eat, and treat each other and what we believe. As we make these changes, we give others the freedom to change too.

So if you truly want to change the world then start by changing yourself first.
